Mobility scooter repairs, without the mystery
From a tired crawl to a charger that will not behave, start by telling us what changed.
We cover Muirkirk and nearby areas, with visits agreed before anyone sets off.
On the workbench
We inspect the problem, explain the sensible options and agree the cost before work begins.
Speed & driveLoss of pace, hill performance and drivetrain checks
Wheels & tyresWorn, rubbing, wobbling or punctured wheels and tyres
Batteries & chargingRange, charging, connectors and power diagnosis
Mechanical faultsControls, steering, braking, noises and stiff movement
Where a safe, practical repair is possible and suitable parts are available, we’ll explain the
options. If a repair would not be sensible or economical, we’ll say so plainly.
The short route
From first message to a clear next step
01Message us
Describe the scooter, the fault and roughly where you are.
02Agree the next step
We’ll discuss the likely visit, checks and call-out cost first.
03Repair, quote or explain
You get a practical answer, with extra work agreed before it happens.
03 — Clear costs
Local call-outs. Clear before we set off.
Before the visit
We’ll confirm the call-out price and what it includes before you book.
When the fix is quick
A quick successful repair is charged at the call-out price agreed before your visit.
If more is needed
Extra labour and parts are only added with your agreement.
04
The right scooter is a conversation, not a catalogue race.
We can discuss new, pre-owned and specialist mobility equipment, check current availability
and provide an up-to-date written quotation.
Sales / specialist imports
Sourced to order
We do not hold imported or specialist models in stock. After discussing your needs, we can
check current availability and prepare a written quotation. A test ride may not always be possible.

Demonstrations
Late2026
Home demonstrations are planned for late 2026 — not yet bookable
We hope to arrange home demonstrations of selected new and pre-owned scooters and powered
wheelchairs through participating local retailers. This depends on agreements being completed
and product availability. This planned service is separate from the Motability Scheme.
We’re building a small, varied fleet for repair loans, short rentals and the moments
when being without mobility equipment simply is not practical.

Loans & rental
Borrow for repair. Rent for real life.
A suitable scooter may be available to borrow while your own scooter is being repaired,
or to rent for a temporary need. That could mean a visitor staying in Muirkirk, a temporary
injury, or a journey that calls for something different from your usual machine.
01Courtesy loan during a repair
02Short local stay or visitor
03Temporary mobility need
04A different kind of journey
Every loan or rental is subject to availability, suitability and agreement. A particular
size, range or type cannot be guaranteed.

Community breakdown help
This is personally offered community help, not insurance or formal breakdown cover.
We may be able to attend, diagnose a fault, make a safe on-the-spot repair or help arrange
the right repair—but response, repair and recovery cannot be guaranteed.
If anyone is in immediate danger or needs urgent medical help, call 999. For urgent but
non-life-threatening medical help in Scotland, call NHS 24 on 111.
Mobility scootersHoists & transfer liftsRise, recline & stand-assist equipment
For hoists, transfer lifts, stand-assist equipment and powered recliners, we gather fault
information and make basic visual checks without lifting a person. We do not undertake
statutory examinations, fixed installation, in-warranty, certified or high-voltage electrical
repairs. Specialist work goes to the manufacturer, dealer or an appropriately competent engineer.
01
If we cannot fix it there
We may be able to offer a suitable courtesy loan, but stock is limited and a loan cannot
be guaranteed. We hold hire-and-reward and goods-in-transit cover for equipment collection
and recovery. We are not a taxi or private-hire passenger service.
If no loan is available—or you would rather not use one—we may be able to recover the equipment.
Where it is safe, suitable and within the terms of our cover, we may also offer an incidental,
discretionary and one-way journey home, to our workshop, or—within Muirkirk—to the destination
you were heading towards. It cannot be booked as passenger transport, and we cannot promise a
later collection or return journey.
If an on-site repair could recur, our advice will normally be to return home and leave the
scooter with us for a proper assessment. If a repair at your destination does fail, contact
us and stop using the equipment. Any further response remains subject to safety and availability,
and your statutory rights still apply where our work was not carried out with reasonable care and skill.
02
Records, advice & unsafe equipment
After repair work, you’ll receive an itemised work record. Where specialist assessment is
needed, we’ll add an advice notice naming the kind of competent electrician, engineer,
dealer or manufacturer support to seek.
If we reasonably believe equipment is unsafe, we’ll issue a defect notice and may record its
received or returned condition photographically. A signature records that the notice was
received; it does not mean you accept the risk or give up any legal rights.
03
Handover, suitability & cleaning
Before a loan or rental, we’ll show you the controls, features, safety points and visible
condition. This is familiarisation, not formal training. You must be comfortable operating
the device safely; seek advice from a healthcare, mobility or appropriately qualified
professional if you are unsure. We do not provide professional installation.
Equipment is checked, cleaned and disinfected before handover, but it is not sterile or
clinically decontaminated. Ask for enhanced cleaning if that would help—no diagnosis or
medical detail is needed. Please use only manufacturer-compatible, non-destructive cleaning
methods afterwards, especially on foam grips and faux-leather seats.
We’ll identify the scooter’s class and explain the main use restrictions before handover.
Eligibility, minimum-age and registration rules still apply.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
